Gestalt language processors learn language in whole chunks rather than single words. Children who fall into this style of language development often start with echolalia. Echolalia is when children repeat what another person has said in an attempt to communicate. "Both Analytic Language Development and Gestalt Language Development are normal and natural." (Ann Peters, 1983)
